EXHIBITION TO PRESENT THE QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS AND HOW THESE RELATE TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN AND THE SHDC JOINT LOCAL PLAN

SATURDAY 18th MARCH 2017   10.30 am to 3.00pm

 WHITE HART ASSEMBLY ROOMS

The JLP has been published on the SHDC web pages.  It is 311 pages long and contains many policies relevant to Modbury Town and the rural parish.  The key pages are 212 and 220/221 which set out the JLP proposals for housing.  The new suggestions are for an additional 80 houses on top of the current 93 being built at Palm Cross.  These will be on two sites of 40 each, one immediately to the north of the current site (on part of the site originally proposed) and the other on the site of Penn Parks Farm next to the A379.  The RA2 site in Poundwell has been removed.

Note:  South Hams District Council will be holding their own consultation event, probably on the afternoon and evening of Thursday 23rd March.  Check on their website for details.  Come to our meeting beforehand to gather information to help you comment.
