NPG Update – Parish Council Report

May was a very busy month for the NP with events surrounding a very successful May Fair. Ann Turner attended the May Parish Council meeting to provide an update as the plan progresses.

COUNCIL REPORT

The main events this month were involvement in Fair week with a Neighbourhood Plan stand at the street market on May 7th and information and activities for those taking part in the May fair walks on May 8th. These were very successful, with a lot of interest and take-up on the information packs provided at both events. It was particularly encouraging to see the participation of children in the mapping activity on walks day. A box for responses to questions in the information packs, and any other comments, has been provided at the Post Office and will be available until next Saturday. Thank you to Justine Slade for accommodating this.

The information will be collated and put into a report which will be available via the website and the Messenger.

To allow further opportunities for gaining information and making comments, a temporary exhibition will held in one of the vacant shops in Modbury Court, by kind permission of Alex Hammerstein. Further details will be available shortly.

Finally, a big thank you to all those involved in the Neighbourhood Plan group for their energy and hard work in putting this all together, it was a real team effort.

The next Neighbourhood Plan meeting will take place on Wednesday May 25th at 8.15pm at the Exeter Inn.
